I have to change my email account name to a new one, because my inbox contains over 100 spam daily now. How do I do this?

Reply:The first answer is correct how to open a new account, However, the problem is not your e mail ....is your spam settings. For every spam you received don't just deleted them ...click on spam button to classified the sender as spam.


Otherwise, it will continue to send you junk mail.


You can also set up you account to received mail only from know user or only from your Contact list. You just have to check your spam folder for know addresses and listed them as non spam..

Reply:I have several email addresses and I use them all for different purposes. One I always use for buying anything online. One I only give to friends. etc. If you never give out an email on a website and only use it for contacting friends, you will hardly ever get spam.





I personally like gmail for these different addresses because they don't delete emails for inactivity if you don't check them every month or something.





If you would like to get gmail addresses, just log on to gmail.com and follow the instructions to create an account.

Reply:It's easy to create a new one, but the same thing will happen eventually. If the spam is in your Spam/Bulk folder, you don't even need to open that folder. It wouldn't make any difference if you got 2 or 200. You'll run in to the same thing with any account.
Reply:This was happening to me too, so I opened one and at the bottom on the e-mail it has an un-subscride link. I did that on one or two and they went away as I guess they were all from the same data base. Mine where Zellers and junk like that.
Reply:You make a new address, and start over. Send an email from your old one to all our contacts notifying them of the change. Keep the old one, however, for when you want to sign up for online things. that way, you keep your new email clean of spam.
